Citi launches Shari'a-compliant working capital products in UAE

Citi has unveiled a suite of Shari'a-compliant banking products designed to meet the working capital needs of UAE-based corporate clients.


Offered by Citi Global Transaction Services, these solutions include Shari'a-compliant cash management products and trade products. Citi said that these products will complement its full spectrum of Islamic investment and financing solutions.

Samad Sirohey, CEO of Citi Islamic Investment Bank and head of global Islamic banking, said: "The Citi treasury and trade Shari'a-compliant services are in line with Citi's strategy to offer our clients Shari'a-compliant working capital products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to be later introduced to various other markets."
